Welcome to our FAQ page! Here you’ll find answers to the most common questions about booking a private Saloon Boat cruise. If you need help choosing the right celebration or have a question not listed here, we’re happy to assist.
Booking & General Questions
How long is a cruise?
A cruise lasts 2 hours.
How do I book my cruise?
To book just click on a cruise booking button. Hold the date and time with a $99 non-refundable deposit. The balance is due two weeks before your cruise.
How far in advance should I book?
Weekends fill up fast, especially for bachelorette and bachelor parties.
We recommend booking 4 weeks in advance.
What is your cancellation and refund policy?
Cancellation, Rescheduling & Weather Policy
We understand that plans can change. Because every Saloon Boat cruise is a private reservation and we hold a specific date, time, captain, and vessel for your group, the following policy applies.
Guest Cancellations
More than 30 days before your cruise:
You may cancel for a refund of amounts paid, less the non-refundable booking deposit, or you may reschedule to another available date.
15 to 29 days before your cruise:
You may reschedule one time to another available date, or receive a store credit for the amount paid. Store credit may be used toward a future Saloon Boat cruise or an available Buffalo Pedal Tours experience.
14 days or less before your cruise:
Payments are non-refundable and the cruise cannot be rescheduled. At this point, the boat, captain, crew, and time slot have been reserved for your private group.
If Saloon Boat Cancels for Operational Reasons
In the rare event that Saloon Boat must cancel your cruise because of mechanical issues, staffing, or another operational issue within our control, we will contact the group leader as soon as possible.
You may choose one of the following:
- Reschedule to another available Saloon Boat cruise date;
- Transfer your booking to an available Buffalo Pedal Tours party bike experience; or
- Receive a full refund to the original payment method.
Weather and Captain’s Safety Decision
Passenger safety is our first priority. Cruises may operate in light rain or cloudy weather. The Captain will decide whether a cruise must be canceled due to unsafe marine conditions, including high winds, unsafe wave conditions, lightning, severe weather, or any condition that makes the cruise unsafe.
If Saloon Boat cancels your cruise because of unsafe weather or marine conditions, your group will receive a full store credit to reschedule for a future available Saloon Boat cruise. As an alternative, your group may choose to transfer the booking to an available Buffalo Pedal Tours party bike experience for the same time slot, if available.
Weather cancellations are based on safety conditions at the marina and on the water, not simply the general land forecast.
Late Arrivals and No-Shows
Please arrive on time. Your cruise time is reserved for your group, captain, and vessel. Late arrivals may shorten the cruise and do not qualify for a refund or price adjustment. Groups that do not arrive for their scheduled cruise are treated as no-shows and are not eligible for a refund or rescheduling.
Group Leader Responsibility
The person who books the cruise is the group leader and is responsible for sharing this cancellation, rescheduling, weather, and arrival policy with everyone in the party before the cruise date.
Are private cruises the only option?
Yes — every cruise is 100% private for your group only.
What if I have a group larger than Boat Capacity?
If your group exceeds our boat capacity, we highly recommend checking out our land-based options at Buffalo Pedal Tours. They have multiple vehicles that can accommodate up to 60 following together. This allows everyone to celebrate together in the same neighborhood!
Do you offer land-based pedal tours or bike bar crawls?
We specialize exclusively in high-seas fun! If you’re looking to take the party to the streets of downtown Buffalo, our sister company Buffalo Pedal Tours is the city’s #1 land tour. They handle all our trolley and bike-based adventures.
How much does a cruise cost?
